Steve McNamara has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.  During his years as chief counsel at Reading & Bates, he was responsible for coordinating the land and legal activities of the company in the United States, Indonesia, Australia and several other foreign counties.  Steve has negotiated dozens of joint venture agreements and operating agreements with industry partners.  He led negotiations for the construction of the first offshore oil platform in Western Australia.  Steve has also been involved in the acquisition or sale of billions of dollars’ worth of oil and gas properties.  His firm currently serves as an “acquisition coordinator” performing title due diligence functions for numerous oil and gas companies.  Steve has extensive experience in gas measurement, gas processing and gas accounting disputes.  Steve also serves as an independent arbitrator for disputes involving gas contract and title defects in Oklahoma and has served as an expert witness in both state and federal courts.
