Paula G. Inge served for 10 years as District Judge for the 25th Judicial District of Oklahoma before retirement from the bench in December 2022.  Presided over all civil litigation, probate, guardianship, and felony criminal cases.  Conducted numerous jury and non-jury trials and decided a multitude of dispositive and pre-trial motions and discovery issues.  Also organized and presided as Specialty Court Judge for the drug court program until her retirement.  Attorneys appearing in Inge’s court have described her as always prepared with a good knowledge of the applicable law.

Ms. Inge earned her law degree and undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma.  She was admitted to practice law in 1990.  She began her legal career employed by the Stamper and Burrage law firm in Antlers, Oklahoma.  In 1995, Inge returned to a private business career and served as the chief financial officer for Bill and Larry Mathis’ various business enterprises, including Mathis Bros Furniture Company.  In 2007, she relocated back to Atoka, Oklahoma, to be close to family and returned to the private practice of law.  In 2013, Ms. Inge was appointed mid-term by Governor Mary Fallin as District Judge.  Her appointment has historical significance, being the first woman to serve as a district judge in southeastern Oklahoma.  She served in that capacity until retiring in 2022.

  • The University of Oklahoma, B.A. Accounting, 1978.

  • The University of Oklahoma College of Law, J.D. with highest honors, 1990.  Served as an articles editor for the Oklahoma Law Review.  Member of the National legal honor society, Order of the Coif.
