Scott McDaniel
Scott is a senior trial lawyer with extensive experience handling complex matters in state and federal courts. Scott has tried numerous cases to verdict for both plaintiffs and defendants in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Scott practiced Civil Engineering for eleven years before transitioning to law, and he earned his Professional Engineer designation in North Carolina and Oklahoma (licenses now retired).
Since his law practice began in 1995, Scott has applied his technical background to the resolution of highly technical and complex cases, including a number of high-stakes environmental and class action cases. He represents Fortune 100® Companies in the food and energy sectors as well as a number of national transportation and A/E firms.
In law school, Scott was recognized as the Gable Gotwals 1L Student of the Year. He was a Merit Scholar, the Managing Editor of the Tulsa Law Journal, and he graduated at the top of his Class. Since law school, Scott was selected by the Tulsa County Bar Association to receive the Leadership in the Law Award in 2008, and he has been included on the Super Lawyers® list in Oklahoma since 2015. Scott has lectured and published numerous articles in the areas of environmental litigation, construction litigation, lien law, design professional liability, and dealing with experts at trial.
Scott began his career with the Dallas-based firm of Gardere & Wynne, and he was a founding Member of Joyce, Paul & McDaniel, as well as his firm since 2007, McDaniel, Acord & Lytle.
